The first verse of this old favorite is introduced by a trumpet duet. Instruments are then added to the ensemble as the music builds to an exciting conclusion. The somewhat traditional beginning is followed by sections that allow the musician to practice counting and playing syncopated rhythms. This is an excellent concert selection and a good piece to use for solo/ensemble festival. (A Euphonium treble clef part is included for your convenience.)
